Saturday’s agenda was kicked off by guest speaker, Ed MacDonald from Maritime Auto Salvage in Truro Nova Scotia. Ed always brings a great understanding of the industry and current issues, and he presents in a very captivating and entertaining style. AARDA thanks Ed for volunteering his time to join us for the convention.

The balance of the morning was comprised of presentation from Hollander, ELV Select and Big House Converters.

Following the lunch break an OHS presentation covered new Alberta regulations, safety prevention, and general work place safety concerns to be considered.

Next up was AMVIC, followed by Service Alberta. Both agencies talked about the Auto recycling industry in Alberta and how AMVIC and AARDA are working together to look at the requirements to hold an auto recyclers licence in Alberta. These were both very positive and encouraging sessions that promise to bring about some much-needed change in Auto recycling licencing.
